Cobb Highway update
From the Wilcannia News
Work is continuing on the upgrade of a 10.3 kilometre section of the Cobb Highway at Eurella, 30 kilometres north of Ivanhoe. Funding of $7.8 million is to improve safety and flood immunity for all road users as well as improving efficiency for freight vehicles.
Work to upgrade drainage throughout the project length has been largely completed with the bulk of earth work now underway
The first five kilometres of the project is expected to be sealed in June with the remaining 5.2 kilometres of the project due for completion in September this year, weather permitting.
Central Darling Shire Council is carrying out the work on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services with many local contractors involved in the work
An additional 11.9 kilometres of the Cobb Highway is scheduled to be sealed by December 2018

Þ Central Darling Shire
Draft Operation Plan 2017-2018 & Long Term Financial Plan 2018-2026
are on display at the White Cliffs Outback Store and can be downloaded from the Council website: www.centraldarling.nsw.gov.au
