Upgrade of White Cliffs Airstrip

Under Round 4 of the Remote Airstrip Upgrade Programme White Cliffs will receive $56,500 to replace the boundary fence & RFDS will receive $40,000 to install RNAV.

Þ Broken Hill | The AGL Viewing Platform Art & Design Competition
AGL Energy Limited (AGL) and Broken Hill Art Exchange (BHAE) are calling for designs from artists for a viewing platform at the Broken Hill solar plant. With a $10,000 prize, the final design will be judged on design, celebration of environmental practices, solar energy and innovation, practicality and feasibility and contribution to Broken Hill’s artistic and cultural heritage. Four selected finalists will receive $1,000 in order to develop a presentation of their design for a jury panel on Friday, 24 March 2017.

Helping White Cliffs Hear (FRRR Caring for Ageing Regional Australians funded)
The equipment, Listen 6 hearing system, is available for everyone to use. The boxes contain a transmitter, 6 personal receivers, 6 ear buds, 2 personal hearing loops, a conference microphone. & feedback forms It is very simple to use and should help those with hearing difficulties hear everything that goes on.
People with hearing aids will need to have the telecoil activated to use the personal hearing loop. Check for a “T” switch or ask your hearing service.
